New toy

Just because.
I haven't bought a new machine, ever - my last new machine was my 12th birthday present. That's been a while ;^)

So far, it's lovely. The kids sat next to me last night trying the fancy stitches out.

I haven't completely drunk the kool-aid - I also ordered a new bobbin case for the Featherweight in hopes it will fix my tension issues.

Once upon a time, a long time ago, I wanted a new sewing machine. I thought my mom's old one-stitch Singer was so passe. Of course that was during one of my few sewing phases. Now I have an old Brother. My father-in-law picked it up somewhere, and after I married dh, he gave it to me, since he never used it. I did sew baby room stuff and maternity clothes 17 years ago, and have hemmed a few uniform pants since then....maybe I need a new machine.

I have the very same machine that I got a few months ago. I LOVE it! So easy to make button holes, I love the auto sewing feature which is great for free motion sewing and it has both feed dog drop AND needle down features. You are going to really enjoy your new Brother!
